ROYAL ALBATROSS COURTSHIP
The albatross breeds only at Taiaroa Head and on small islands around the Chathams. They pair for life but take eight to eleven years to choose a mate. Young birds spend their time in small noisy groups performing their courtship ritual (pictured) known as "gamming".
Private swap from jennfierb, received in April 2011.
